Terms of Service

Terms for using SoundIQ.

These Terms of Service outline the basic conditions for using SoundIQ, joining the waitlist, submitting artist information, and participating in future distribution or royalty intelligence services.

Pre-Launch Status

SoundIQ is currently in pre-launch development. Features, pricing, onboarding processes, eligibility requirements, distribution services, royalty systems, and platform availability may change before or after public launch.

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee acceptance, approval, distribution access, monetisation, playlist placement, promotional support, or any specific commercial outcome.

Artist Responsibility

Users are responsible for ensuring that any recordings, artwork, metadata, names, brands, compositions, samples, features, beats, lyrics, and other materials submitted to SoundIQ are legally owned, licensed, cleared, or otherwise authorised for distribution and promotional use.

Users must not submit content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy rights, publicity rights, contractual rights, or any other third-party rights.

Ownership & Distribution Rights

Unless separately agreed in writing, artists retain ownership of their underlying master recordings, compositions, artwork, and intellectual property.

By submitting recordings, catalogue materials, metadata, artwork, or related content to SoundIQ, users grant SoundIQ the rights reasonably necessary to review, process, store, distribute, administer, display, promote, and otherwise operate the platform services connected to those materials.

Promotional Licence

By distributing recordings through SoundIQ, users grant SoundIQ a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, display, perform, communicate, promote, advertise, and otherwise make use of submitted recordings, artist names, artwork, images, release information, and associated materials for promotional and marketing purposes connected to SoundIQ.

This promotional licence may include use in social media posts, SoundIQ playlists, platform marketing, artist showcases, promotional campaigns, live events, TV, radio, online advertising, digital advertising, press activity, and other reasonable promotional contexts connected to SoundIQ and its services.

This promotional licence applies during any period in which SoundIQ acts as catalogue custodian, distributor, administrator, or platform service provider for the relevant recordings, and continues for eighteen months after the full catalogue is transferred away from SoundIQ to another distributor or service provider.

SoundIQ Compilations & Showcase Releases

Users agree that SoundIQ may include eligible recordings in SoundIQ-branded compilations, showcase releases, promotional projects, curated playlist campaigns, or related catalogue marketing initiatives.

Where an artist recording is included in a SoundIQ compilation or SoundIQ-branded showcase release, SoundIQ shall have the right to promote, exploit, distribute, monetise, and release the relevant compilation or showcase project worldwide without additional charge to SoundIQ.

For SoundIQ compilation releases only, master recording royalties generated by the compilation master shall be retained 100% by SoundIQ. Publishing royalties connected to the underlying compositions shall remain 100% attributable to the relevant artist, songwriter, producer, publisher, or rights holder, subject to their applicable publishing arrangements.

This compilation royalty structure applies only to SoundIQ-created compilations or SoundIQ-branded showcase releases and does not, by itself, transfer ownership of the artist’s original standalone master recording or composition.

Royalties & Payments

Royalty reporting, payment timing, deductions, platform fees, royalty-share structures, and distribution terms may vary depending on the artist plan, distribution partner, DSP reporting schedule, payment processor, and applicable written agreement.

SoundIQ does not guarantee any minimum royalty amount, stream volume, playlist placement, chart position, sync opportunity, audience growth, or commercial result.

Takedowns, Rejections & Account Restrictions

SoundIQ reserves the right to reject, delay, suspend, restrict, or remove content where there are concerns relating to rights ownership, metadata accuracy, fraud, artificial streaming, infringement, offensive content, breach of third-party rules, DSP compliance, payment risk, or breach of these Terms.

SoundIQ may also suspend or restrict access to platform services where necessary to protect artists, partners, rights holders, payment systems, DSP relationships, or platform integrity.

Platform Availability

SoundIQ may update, modify, suspend, discontinue, or limit access to any feature, service, pricing plan, onboarding process, or platform function at any time.

SoundIQ is not liable for temporary unavailability, delays, technical failures, third-party service interruptions, data processing delays, DSP delays, payment processor issues, or operational disruption outside its reasonable control.

Updates to These Terms

SoundIQ may update these Terms periodically as platform features, commercial arrangements, legal requirements, and distribution operations evolve.

Continued use of SoundIQ services after updated Terms are published may constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
